While Dayhana works with clients from a wide array of backgrounds, these are some of areas of expertise.
Anxiety
Feelings on edge, overwhelmed and always overthinking. It’s hard to slow down or rest.
Trauma & Attachment
Carrying the impact of a painful experience or growing up in chaos, neglect, or relationships that didn’t feel safe.
ADHD
Making sense of a new ADHD diagnosis, feeling a mix of relief, grief, or confusion, and wanting tools that fit your unique brain.
Inner Child Healing
Feeling stuck in old patterns, being hard on yourself, or longing to reconnect with the playful, tender parts of you that didn’t get what they needed growing up.
Constructed Awareness (CA):
Dayhana is a Constructed Awareness therapist. Constructed Awareness is a nonviolent, awareness-based approach to resourcing and processing trauma, attachment wounds, and disturbing emotional states. Have you ever been told that you need to control your emotions, struggle to feel your feelings, or find yourself becoming overwhelmed with your thoughts? Constructed Awareness is used to help deepen your awareness of your experiences with the world, your thoughts, emotions, and sensations. That awareness itself is transformative. Somatic Therapy:
Dayhana also uses Somatic therapy that is a holistic approach and focuses on building the relationship between mind and body. Dayhana describe somatic therapy "It is learning the language of the body". Somatic therapy recognizes that traumatic experiences and emotional distress can manifest physically in the body. These physical manifestations can lead to chronic pain, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation. Some somatic based practices can include but is not limited to grounding, mindfulness, breathwork, movement, etc.
Brainspotting (BSP):
Dayhana is a Brainspotting therapist. Brainspotting is a tool that supports clients in their healing journey by helping to access unprocessed trauma. There is a saying in Brainspotting: “Where you look affects how you feel." Brainspotting uses your visual field to access the subcortical area of the brain. Brainspotting treatment is enhanced through the use of biolateral sound. Click here for more information on Brainspotting.
